The International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD)

The International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) is a federation of Clubhouses (based on the Fountain House model) which help people with mental illness participate in the worlds of employment, independent living, family and friends, and education. Member Clubhouses accomplish this by working to provide their members with a place to belong; meaningful work; a decent place to live; access to needed medical and social services; and a place to which they can always return.
The ICCD:
-
Develops new Clubhouses
-
Protects and strengthens existing Clubhouse programs
-
Oversees the creation of Clubhouse operational standards
-
Coordinates the implementation of Clubhouse training programs, and
-
Provides technical assistance, consultation, quality improvement (through accreditation), regional Clubhouse Coalition development, and research and advocacy.
In sum, the ICCD serves as the hub of a rapidly-growing network of Clubhouses throughout the world.
